JUVÉDERM Vollure® has just been introduced and we are one of the first offices to have it! It’s the newest of JUVÉDERM’s Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers that is used to beautifully refill areas of the face with moderate to deep folds or volume loss. Which means we can be creative with Vollure and use it in areas such as the nasolabial folds, the marionette lines, and even under the eyes.
Vollure is engineered with Vycross® technology like both Volbella® and Voluma® which means it combines low and high molecular weight HA. This allows for smooth results with less swelling than what can be experienced with traditional HA’s.* With adequate correction, meaning enough product is used, Vollure lasts up to 18 months!* A typical patient with moderate volume loss in their nasolabial folds would need 2-3 syringes of Vollure to provide adequate correction.*
Why choose Vollure?
Since there are several products in the JUVÉDERM family to treat areas such as the nasolabial folds or marionette lines, it is important to properly determine which one is right for your situation. Ultimately, the primary factor is how often you want to come in to maintain your results. The original JUVÉDERM fillers such as Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC can last up to one year, but most patients see correction for 6 to 9 months.* In contrast, JUVÉDERM Vollure can be used in similar areas but lasts for up to 18 months.*
Patients are often scared of having an “overdone” look and err on the side of caution when it comes to getting dermal fillers. While there are practitioners out there who may inject too much product in certain areas, there are areas that require more product to rejuvenate. If an area that needs more volume is under treated, the results are generally mild and unsatisfactory. I prefer to treat to full correction, which leaves my patients happier and saves them money in the long run.
