How Does BOTOX Work?
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) targets one of the underlying causes of lines and wrinkles… the repeated facial muscle contractions that occur over the years. Botox temporarily reduces this muscle activity so you’ll begin to notice a smoothing of these lines.*
For temporary improvement of crows feet, Botox is injected into the muscles surrounding the sides of your eyes- called the orbicularis oculi muscles. For frown lines, Botox is injected into two muscles- the corrugator and procerus muscles.
Prevent fine lines and wrinkles and get natural looking results with no surgery or downtime.*

How long does BOTOX last?
With adequate dosing your treatment will typically last 3-4 months. Areas where you may want increased facial expressions or a VERY natural look, treatment may only last 1-3 months.
Will I look overdone or frozen?
No. Botox injection is a technique sensitive treatment. A skilled injector should not make you lose the ability to show expression. It is important to see a licensed, trained, medical expert and that you discuss your desired results with this professional.
Does it hurt?
Most patients report the injection feeling like a little pinch. You may choose to use ice or a topical numbing cream to numb the area before treatment.
How long does the treatment take?
Approximately 15 minutes and requires no downtime.
Are there any side effects?
3% of patients during clinical studies experience eyelid drooping and 1% experienced eyelid swelling. Other possible, yet uncommon, side effects include dry mouth, tiredness, headache, neck pain, vision problems and allergic reactions.
This is a very safe and common procedure.
