Next-Generation Skin Rejuvenation With PDO Threads

We are proud to offer men and women in Ventura County PDO Thread Lift treatments, an advanced minimally-invasive skin lifting and tightening alternative to traditional facelift surgery. PDO Threads are barbed sutures that come in pre-packaged cannulas that are inserted below the top layer of skin to rejuvenate the appearance of aging or sagging face and neck skin.

Preferred Provider of PDO Threads in Camarillo and Ventura

Poly-Dioxanone (PDO) threads are used to approximate (move) and fixate (secure) face and neck skin into a tighter and more lifted appearance in minimally invasive aesthetic procedures. PDO threads are 100% absorbable synthetic sutures that are thinner than a human hair and have been proven to be one of the safest materials used in cosmetic treatments. The absorbable threads cause no tissue damage, or scar tissue and fully dissolve within 6 months. Additionally, PDO threads can increase facial volume as they stimulate collagen production at and around the injection site for up to 15 months following the procedure.

PDO Threads: What to Expect

Your Consultation

During your consultation, your facial rejuvenation specialist will review your cosmetic concerns and determine if PDO Threads will help you achieve your goals. If you are a candidate for PDO Threads, you’ll work together to determine a treatment plan based on your unique needs and schedule your procedure.

The PDO Thread Procedures

A PDO Thread procedure can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated. When you arrive for your procedure, your provider will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure your comfort during the injections. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, your provider will insert each PDO Thread just below the skin according to your treatment plan.

Recovery After PDO Threads

After your PDO Thread procedure, you may find that the injection site is slightly red, swollen, or tender. This is normal, and typically subsides within several hours. You can plan to resume normal activities or return to work directly following your procedure.

FAQs About PDO Thread Lift

Who can benefit from PDO Thread Lift?

Anyone that is experiencing facial sagging, lost skin laxity, has concerns with deep wrinkles and/or facial folds, or is looking to boost collagen production is a good candidate for PDO Threads. The PDO Thread Lift procedure is safe for all skin types.

Can I feel PDO Threads?

When performed correctly by an experienced provider, patients should not be able to feel or see PDO threads under the skin. As PDO threads dissolve, they stimulate your body’s natural ability to produce more collagen.

Where can PDO Threads be used on the body?

PDO Threads can be placed in the following areas:

  • The temples to reduce the appearance of temporal hollows
  • The forehead and glabella to minimize a drooping brow
  • Around the mouth, to lift the corners of the lip and reduce marionette lines
  • The neck to lessen the appearance of a “turkey neck”
  • The cheeks, to contour cheekbones and add volume
  • The décolleté to reduce sagging skin

How often should PDO Thread Lift treatments be done?

Peak results from PDO Thread Lift treatments are typically seen at the three month mark and can be performed safely with anti-aging treatments, BOTOX® and JUVÈDERM® fillers. Depending on the plan that the patient and provider discuss, patients can return for routine maintenance treatments every 3-4 months.
