What is the difference between CoolSculpting and Coolsculpting Elite?
Coolsculpting is the original gold standard for non-surgical fat freezing and Coolsculpting Elite is the next generation of non-invasive fat removal. Coolsculpting Elite builds on the power of Coolsculpting to eliminate up to 25% more fat than the original treatment. It also has additional applicators in more sizes and shapes to customize your treatment and optimize fat removal in different areas.
At beyond |AESTHETICS, we now exclusively use Coolsculpting Elite. While you may hear us refer to simply “CoolSculpting” please know that we are using the most advanced technology and every CoolSculpting treatment is performed with CoolSculpting Elite.
Am I a candidate for CoolSculpting?
Good candidates for CoolSculpting are near their ideal body weight and have concerns about specific pockets of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction but is not intended as a weight loss solution for people who are clinically obese.
Is CoolSculpting safe?
CoolSculpting Elite is an FDA-cleared non-invasive procedure proven to be a safe and effective treatment for non-surgical fat reduction.
Does CoolSculpting hurt?
Patients report minimal discomfort during CoolSculpting treatments, however there is some pressure and intense cold in the first few minutes of the procedure which soon dissipates. Many people are relaxed enough to nap during their treatment, or read, watch movies or TV, chat on the phone or respond to emails.
How long is each CoolSculpting session? How many treatments will I need?
Each patient’s CoolSculpting session(s) varies depending on the size and number of areas being treated. We work with each patient to create a custom treatment plan—including one or more target areas over one or more treatment sessions—specifically tailored to meet their aesthetic goals.
How much does CoolSculpting cost?
The price for Coolsculpting also varies depending on the patients goals, taking into account the number of areas of concern as well as the number of sessions required. During the consultation we’ll create a custom treatment plan to meet each patient’s goals and budget.
Where does the fat go?
During a CoolSculpting session, targeted fat cells are frozen (crystallized) and then processed and eliminated naturally by the body.
Are there any side effects?
It’s typical to experience the sensation of tugging and/or pulling, pinching, numbness or some discomfort during the procedure. Typical side effects following the procedure can include temporary numbness that dissipates over time, swelling, bruising, redness, tingling, stinging and pain.2
How soon can I return to normal activities after my CoolSculpting treatment?
Coolsculpting is completely non-surgical and non-invasive, so patients typically return to normal activities immediately following the procedure.
When will I see results?
Many patients report seeing changes in the treated areas as soon as three weeks after their treatment, but most experience the most dramatic results between one and three months. Most patients see their final result around three to four months following their last treatment session as the body continues to eliminate the frozen fat cells over a four month period.
Do I need to take special supplements or follow a strict diet and exercise program?
Patients do not need to worry about adopting new diet and exercise habits, however as with any cosmetic procedure, the results will be optimized by a healthy lifestyle. Many patients are so thrilled with their CoolSculpting results that they find themselves more motivated to make healthy choices following Coolsculpting treatments.
What happens if I gain weight down the road?
If a patient does gain weight following a CoolSculpting procedure(s), the weight will be evenly distributed throughout the body and will not cause a lumpy effect.
