Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking over-the-counter blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), Naproxen (Aleve), and high-dose Vitamin E supplements, unless prescribed by a physician.
Pause Certain Supplements: Discontinue supplements that increase bruising risk, including St. John’s Wort, Ginkgo Biloba, Primrose Oil, Garlic pills, and Omega-3/Fish Oil.
Active Topicals: Stop using strong active skincare ingredients such as high-strength Retinoids, Retin-A, Tretinoin, Glycolic Acid, or harsh chemical exfoliants 3 to 5 days before your visit.
Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours prior to treatment. Alcohol thins the blood and significantly increases the risk of bruising at microdroplet injection sites.
Avoid Hair Removal: Do not wax, bleach, tweeze, or use hair removal creams on the treatment area (cheeks/face).
Skin Health Check: Ensure your skin is free from active rashes, cold sores, hives, or skin infections. If you have a history of facial cold sores, let your provider know so a preventative antiviral may be prescribed.
Arrive Clean-Faced: Wash your face thoroughly and arrive without makeup, heavy lotions, or facial oils if possible (we will also cleanse your skin upon arrival).
Hydrate & Eat: Have a light meal or snack and drink plenty of water prior to your appointment to prevent lightheadedness.
Avoid Intense Workouts: Skip heavy cardiovascular exercise or intense sauna visits right before your appointment.
Check-In & Skin Preparation: Arrive at our Camarillo or Ventura clinic clean-faced. Your provider will cleanse and sanitize the targeted treatment area on your cheeks to ensure a completely hygienic surface before beginning.
Targeted Consultation & Mapping: Your expert injector will evaluate your skin quality and map out the precise injection points across your cheeks to ensure optimal, uniform microdroplet placement.
Precision Microdroplet Administration: Using fine-gauge needles, your provider precisely administers hyaluronic acid (HA) microdroplets just beneath the surface layer of the skin.
