Your Pre-Treatment Dermasweep Guide

Radiant skin clarity, deep micro-infusion, and optimal exfoliation begin before you enter our studio.

Multi-Level Surface Polish & Targeted Infusion

At beyond|AESTHETICS, we view skin resurfacing as a vital pillar of long-term skin matrix health. Unlike traditional microdermabrasion that uses harsh, messy crystals, DermaSweep® utilizes variable level vacuum technology and bristled treatment tips to gently lift away dead skin cells. Simultaneously, customized medical-grade serums are micro-infused deep into the skin to improve circulation, boost hydration, and enhance overall texture with zero downtime.

Preparing for Skin

5–7 Days Before

  • Avoid Direct Sun & Tanning: Discontinue direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products. Freshly tanned or sunburned skin cannot be treated.
  • Pause Facial Waxing & Depilatories: Avoid facial waxing, plucking, sugaring, or chemical depilatory creams in the target area to prevent skin hypersensitivity.

2–3 Days Before

  • Pause Active Topicals & Exfoliants: Temporarily stop using active skincare ingredients in the treatment zone, including Retin-A, retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and harsh mechanical scrubs.
  • Skin Health Check: Ensure your skin is free of active cold sores, open wounds, severe inflammatory acne breakouts, or rashes. Contact our studio if you need to reschedule.

Day of Treatment

  • Arrive Fresh-Faced: Come to your appointment with clean skin free of heavy foundation, waterproof makeup, concealers, or heavy face oils.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support overall skin barrier health and enhance the micro-infusion results.

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Clinical Skin Analysis & Customization: Your provider will evaluate your skin barrier, current hydration levels, and primary concerns to select the ideal micro-infusion serums for your session.
  • Gentle Bristle Exfoliation: Using DermaSweep’s specialized, crystal-free bristle tips and gentle vacuum suction, your provider will systematically polish away dead skin buildup across your face and neck. You will feel a soothing, light suction sensation.
  • Targeted Nutrient Micro-Infusion: Simultaneously, customized medical-grade serums (hydrating, brightening, or barrier-repairing) are pressed deep into your freshly polished skin, leaving you with an immediate, dewy glow.
  •  Finishing Barrier Protection: Your treatment concludes with a soothing moisturizer and broad-spectrum mineral SPF so you can return to your day immediately with zero downtime.

Recommended Pre-DermaSweep® Home Care

Preparing your skin canvas 1 to 2 weeks prior to micro-resurfacing strengthens the lipid barrier, softens surface debris, and optimizes deep active serum infusion during your treatment.

FAQs About Dermasweep

How is DermaSweep different from traditional microdermabrasion?

Traditional microdermabrasion relies on messy micro-crystals or harsh diamond tips to scrape the skin, which can cause irritation or uneven exfoliation. DermaSweep uses variable-level vacuum suction combined with patent-pending, crystal-free bristle tips (ranging from ultra-soft to firm). This allows for a completely customizable exfoliation that polished the skin without micro-tears while simultaneously infusing targeted medical-grade serums deep into the dermal layer.

Is there any downtime, and does the treatment hurt?

There is zero downtime, and the treatment is completely painless. Most patients describe the sensation as a light, cool facial massage with gentle suction. You may experience a mild pink flush immediately after your appointment due to increased blood flow and micro-circulation, but this typically fades within 1 to 2 hours. You can apply makeup immediately and return to your daily activities right away.

How many treatments do I need, and how quickly will I see results?

You will notice an immediate “dewy glow” and visibly smoother, softer skin right after your first session. For long-term skin health, texture refinement, and hyperpigmentation reduction, a series of 3 to 6 monthly treatments is recommended. Because skin cells naturally renew every 28 days, receiving DermaSweep on a monthly basis maintains active cellular turnover and keeps your pores refined year-round.

Look and feel your best.
